Georgia Lactation Consultant Practice Act January 27 2016

Today there was some interesting Georgia legislation that was brought up in the general assembly regarding breastfeeding and lactation support.

For example, as it appears to me this bill would make an already certified IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) also be licensed with the state.

I am no politician but this seems like a attempt to increase revenue hopefully not at the cost of new mothers seeking affordable lactation support.
